Children’s story writer Tasneem Omran confirmed that social media is fun and useful, but it must be used with caution, explaining that careful use means not sharing information that we should not share with others, and not using it for a long time in a way that affects the relationship with the family.

Tasneem explained during the session the importance of social media in daily life and the risks that may result from poor Using it, she said: “The family represents the first and last reference for children, as well as a safe haven for tolerance in the event of a mistake, in addition to its main role in directing children towards the right behavior, calling on children to turn to their parents if they are exposed to any electronic risks such as bullying or blackmail.

Regarding the mechanism of using social media in a way that brings children closer to their parents, she explained that there are two parts, the first of which is mutual education between parents and children, and the second is talking to family members and friends and sharing pictures and audio with them via social media, even if they are far away.

She stressed the importance of the cooperation of family members (parents and children). To build a cohesive and safe relationship, pointing out that social media can help us do this by learning together by exchanging knowledge about the uses of social media between children and parents, as well as clarifying safety and security standards for children, and spending shared family time by playing online games and watching educational videos or… Effective communication, in addition to parents encouraging their children to share their creativity and achievements via social media.
