Chinese army announces "Banishment" An American destroyer entered the South China Sea

The Chinese army announced Thursday that it had observed a US destroyer that entered the South China Sea and approached the Paracel Islands, and that it had removed it from it. China claims sovereignty over most of the South China Sea, which it shares with several other countries, and has strengthened its military presence there in recent years. The US forces are conducting exercises in the South China Sea, which has an area of about 3.5 million.
