The European Union approves a plan to buy ammunition for Ukraine

European Union leaders on Thursday endorsed a plan to send one million rounds of artillery ammunition to Ukraine over the next 12 months to help the country confront the war with Russia. The European Union’s foreign and defense ministers agreed on the fast-track procurement plan earlier this week, and leaders of the bloc’s 27 member states gave their approval.
