Adelaide punter claims Powerball division one $10.6million prize

A lucky punter said he can now afford to get married after winning the $10.6million Powerball.

The Adelaide ticketholder was the only winner of the Powerball division one prize on Thursday night.

The Sommerton Park man said he could not believe his luck and revealed how he would spend his money.

‘I can now finally afford to get married!’ he said. ‘It’s a strange feeling. I feel bizarre!

‘I looked at my phone last night, and I thought ‘Hang on! That looks different! I rushed to my computer and looked at the ticket on there instead.’

He said he occasionally played the Powerball and that he always used his favourite numbers when he visited his local newsagency.

‘I’ve been visiting Kylie Brown’s Newsagency for more than six years now,’ he said.

‘I’m happy knowing I picked up a division one winning entry from them. I’ll probably refurbish a lot of things – no flash holidays or anything like that.
