Piers Morgan accuses Benjamin Netanyahu of PATRONISING Israelis in TV interview
Piers Morgan has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of ‘patronising’ his people as the under-fire leader attempted to explain months of protests over judicial reforms.
The Israeli premier sat down with the interviewer in a ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored’ world exclusive tonight on Talk TV.
But Netanyahu said: ‘I think a lot of people who go to these demonstrations, they’re patriotic Israelis, they want the good of the country, but a lot of them don’t know the details of the bills…
‘They don’t even know that the leaders of the opposition, that are now going to these demonstrations, they themselves argued that the way we select judges should be changed.’
Piers immediately challenges him, asking: ‘All these people protesting don’t get it?’
‘Many of them don’t,’ Netanyahu tells him.
Piers fires back: ‘Isn’t that slightly patronising Prime Minister?’
‘No,’ says the leader. ‘I didn’t say all of them don’t.’
