Sunlight protects the human body from autoimmune diseases

Scientists at the University of California have discovered that sunlight can protect a person from multiple sclerosis and autoimmune diseases.
The results of their research were published in the scientific journal Neurology.

In the course of their work, American scientists conducted an experiment on 332 people with multiple sclerosis and 534 healthy participants. Their lives are observed and the amount of exposure to direct sunlight is taken into account.

It was found that people who spend half an hour to an hour in the sun each day reduce their risk of developing multiple sclerosis by 52%.

Scientists have concluded that sunlight has a stimulating effect on immune cells in the skin. A healthy balance of vitamin D helps strengthen the body. This trace element protects against various autoimmune diseases.

Scientists recommended frequent walks in the fresh air in sunny weather, because of its beneficial effect on the human body.
