TIME Magazine Names “heroes of the year” for Vaccine Innovators

The creators of vaccines against the Corona virus became the “hero of the year” according to Time magazine, where the article detailed the reasons for this choice.

The article talks about four specialists: immunologist Kizzmekia Corbett, deputy director of the American CDC regulator Barney Graham, Hungarian biochemist Katalin Kariko and American biochemist Drew Weissman. All of them are engaged in the development of effective vaccines.

The article’s authors emphasized, “These four weren’t alone in this effort – scientists around the world have been producing vaccines against COVID-19 using a variety of platforms and technologies. However, Corbett, Graham, Cariko, and Weissman have made crucial progress with a vaccine base.” mRNA is an innovative and highly effective one that will impact our health and well-being away from this pandemic.”
