Google threatens to fire unvaccinated employees

CNBC reports that Google has notified 150,000 employees that the company’s unvaccinated employees will be fired.

Official Google documents obtained by CNBC indicate that employees must upload documents confirming vaccination status into the company’s bylaws. Those who do not do so by January 18, 2022 will be sent on “administrative paid leave” of 30 days, followed by up to six months of unpaid leave. After this period, unvaccinated individuals will completely lose their jobs.

Google is pushing for a return to the office, which has been repeatedly delayed, and demands that “everyone entering the corporate premises is fully vaccinated.”

“As previously mentioned, our vaccination requirements are one of the most important ways to ensure the safety of our workforce and the smooth operation of our services,” a company spokesperson told reporters.
