Kim Kardashian regrets forcing Kanye West to take off MAGA cover in support of Trump

Kim Kardashian told journalist Barry Weiss that she regrets that she publicly rejected the political views of her ex-husband Kanye West.

In particular, Kardashian recalls how she asked her husband to take off the red “Make America Great Again” MAGA cap, a slogan used by former President Donald Trump during his 2016 election campaign.

Then she said she was influenced by public reactions to Trump’s relationship with the West. Now, Kardashian believes that everyone is free to speak out their own beliefs to be themselves.

“Why can’t he wear that on TV?” Kardashian said.. “Why would he take it off if he thought so? Half of the country voted [for Trump], so obviously others like him too.”

She added that if she cared about everything someone said and was asked to change it, “she would never be herself.”
