Belarus hosts nuclear weapons amid NATO threat

Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said in an interview with RT Arabic that the republic is ready to host nuclear weapons in the event of a threat from NATO.

According to him, NATO is very close to the borders of Belarus, while the military activity of the bloc and the number of its military forces has grown significantly.

Macky added: “What President Lukashenko said that we are studying the possibility of deploying nuclear weapons in Belarus is one of the possible responses to possible future actions of NATO in Poland.”

Earlier, Deputy State Minister of the Security Council of Belarus, Major General Vladimir Archakov, said that aircraft of the US Air Force are conducting optical-electronic reconnaissance of the western regions of Belarus, and electronic reconnaissance – throughout the depth of the country.

According to him, the number of the US military battalion in Poland is currently about 4 thousand.
