The heroes of “The Lord of the Rings” perform a rap song in honor of the 20th anniversary of the first film

Actors from the legendary “Lord of the Rings” trilogy and American TV presenter Stephen Colbert have performed a rap in honor of the 20th anniversary of the first film.
The video was posted on The Late Show’s YouTube channel with Stephen Colbert.

Actors Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, who played the main characters – The Hobbit, Hugo Weaving (Elrond), Orlando Bloom (Legolas) and others appear in the video. Hip-hop artists Method Man and Killer Mike help them rap.

The artists wore typical rapper style: loose-fitting jackets, blouses, sunglasses and massive chains. The stars read excerpts from the trilogy and its heroes, ending with Hugo Weaving’s recitation of The Elvish.

At the end of the video, Stephen Colbert, known to the public for his love of John R. Tolkien, exclaims that this is “the greatest trilogy in the history of cinema.”

The first film from the series The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring was released on December 19, 2001. In 2002 and 2003, the second and third parts were released – “Two Fortresses” and “The Return of the King”.

And it was previously reported that a special episode on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the movie “Harry Potter” will be shown in Russia in 2022.
