Most popular apps of 2021

The consulting firm Apptopia has published an annual ranking of the most popular apps for the past year.

In the list, Android and iOS software count together. The most popular application turned out to be TikTok – the social network has been downloaded 656 million times.
Instagram came in second place, with 545 million downloads, and Facebook, with 416 million downloads, in third place.

The classification also includes WhatsApp, Telegram, Snapchat and Zoom as well as Facebook Messenger.

The US roster is a little different from the world – Spotify and Telegram didn’t get there, but YouTube, HBO Max and Cash App did.
