US ‘shares Libyans’ disappointment over election delay’

The US Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, stated that the year 2021 witnessed many positive developments in the country, including the ceasefire in the country, which started since October 2020.

In a video message published by the US Embassy, ​​Nouraland wished all Libyans a Happy New Year, noting that the United States shares the disappointment felt by many Libyans over the postponement of the elections.

Norland explained that about 2.5 million Libyans have registered to vote and are waiting for the electoral process, adding that Libyan leaders are working hard to try to reschedule realistic elections in an early time frame, saying “what we are all trying to do.” To build a better future for Libyan children.
