US court bans military personnel for refusing to vaccinate

A federal judge in the United States has issued a decision banning the punishment of Marines for refusing to be vaccinated against the Corona virus.

US District Judge Reed O’Connor noted that the pandemic “does not give the government permission to revoke the freedoms that any American have, and that soldiers may not be accused of religious beliefs.”

“The loss of religious liberties outweighs any future damages to the Navy…Even the most egregious circumstances cannot justify the loss of constitutional rights,” the judge noted.

The Pentagon introduced a mandatory coronavirus vaccination in August. In mid-October, the US Navy stated that military personnel, who had not been vaccinated by November 28, would be rejected.
