Snow storm hits Saudi Arabia

There was snowfall due to extreme cold on the northern borders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. According to the Saudi Gazette newspaper, a snow storm occurred in the border town of Turaif, and it is a very rare natural phenomenon in this region.

The newspaper stated that the townspeople, who were accustomed to the hot weather, were not afraid of frost and snow, but rather went to the street enjoying the cold and taking pictures of an unusual natural phenomenon.
In addition to Tarif, where it snowed continuously for more than a day, snow also fell in the cities of Tabuk, Arar, Rafha and Shaqra in the northern part of the Kingdom.

The head of meteorology in Tabuk, Farhan Al-Enezi, urged residents to be vigilant.
