Bitcoin drops below $35,000 for the first time in six months

Bitcoin fell during Monday’s trading session to below $35,000, according to Coindesk data.

The week started with the major cryptocurrency continuing its decline, which started at the end of last week. Last Saturday, bitcoin prices fell to $34,000, the lowest value since the summer of 2021.

On January 20, Harry Yee, founder of Quantum Fintech Group, said that the price of bitcoin could rise to $400,000 this year, or nearly 900%. In his opinion, the cryptocurrency market may grow due to the massive use of stablecoins – digital currencies, the price of which is linked to some kind of tangible asset.

However, the experts agreed that such a scenario was unlikely and treated Bian Yi with suspicion.
