Contraceptives cause strokes in women

Neurologist Yuri Androsov said that taking hormonal Contraceptives can lead to a stroke.

Androsov noted that these drugs in themselves clearly increase the risk of developing blood clots, as a result of which vascular blockages and ischemic strokes can occur. “There is a moment associated with young women taking hormonal contraceptives,” that is, the pill.

According to neurologist Semyon Prokopenko, head of the Neurology and Rehabilitation Service, not everyone has such consequences for taking contraceptives. He pointed out that some have bleeding disorders that are not visible to humans. But when combined with contraceptives, it can cause a cerebrovascular accident.

Androsov added that before buying a contraceptive, you should consult a gynecologist, cardiologist, neurologist or vascular surgeon.
