Julian Assange’s fiancée plans to marry in prison

Julian Assange’s fiancée, Stella Morris, has said she plans to marry him soon in prison, although he still faces the risk of life imprisonment.

Assange and Maurice were linked in 2015, when the founder of WikiLeaks was hiding in the Ecuadorean embassy in London.

Morris confirmed. “We haven’t set a date yet, because we are negotiating somewhat with representatives of the British Belmarsh Prison (where Assange has been held since April 2019) about when the party will be allowed, how many people, etc.”

She indicated that in the next few months she would be able to know exactly when the ceremony could be held. According to Morris, this “must definitely happen before summer.”

Earlier, lawyers for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange filed a petition to appeal the decision of the High Court of England and Wales, which agreed to extradite the journalist to the United States.

According to her, Assange expects to appeal to the High Court, but according to British law, before that, the journalist’s petition must be considered by the High Court in London.
