IMX / CE 2022 is the largest naval exercise in the Middle East….

The United States has begun the largest international naval exercise in the Middle East, according to the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet.

It has been determined that the exercises called IMX/CE 2022 began on January 31 in the Kingdom of Bahrain and will continue until February 17. It includes 9,000 soldiers, about 50 ships, and more than 60 partner nations of the United States and international organizations.

The main objective of the exercises, is to “test unmanned systems and artificial intelligence in different training scenarios”.

According to the plan of the exercises, the naval forces are divided into four groups led by the UAE, Egypt, Kenya and Oman. The US Fifth Fleet said the IMX/CE 2022 exercise will take place in the Persian Gulf, Arabian Sea, Gulf of Oman, Red Sea and northern Indian Ocean.
