US warning its citizens not to travel to Belarus…..

The US State Department called for refraining from travel to Belarus, warning of “extraordinary and alarming” concentrations of Russian forces along the country’s border with Ukraine.

The State Department Twitter post reads: “With an increase in unusual and alarming Russian military activity near the border with Ukraine, US citizens who are in Belarus or are considering traveling there should realize that the situation is unpredictable and that there is heightened tension in the region. “.

The State Department also ordered the evacuation of families of US diplomatic mission staff from Belarus.

The ministry emphasizes that one should not travel to the republic due to the “arbitrary application of laws and the risks of detention” by local law enforcement agencies, as well as the epidemiological situation in Belarus.
