The body of “Miss Kuzbass-2010” Ksenia Sapozhkova was found in Moscow after her husband fully confessed to her murder.
The husband of the murdered Alexander Popov told the investigators where exactly he hid the body. It is noted that she was not dismembered, as some media wrote.
The man hid his crime for six months. Relatives of the accused do not believe in his guilt despite the confessions.
What could have served as a motive for the killing has not been determined.
On January 11, Popov reported the disappearance of his wife to the police. According to him, she flew to Dubai, but stopped communicating. However, later, when it turned out that the woman did not cross the border, the man confessed that he had killed his wife, dismembered her body, and threw her remains into the Desna River.
Divers did not find anything in the place he indicated, after which he began to deny guilt and refused to testify against himself.
