An infectious disease doctor, Andrei Pozdnyakov, said that if symptoms such as persistent fever for more than three days and shortness of breath appear in people with the omicron strain of the Corona virus, a doctor should be consulted immediately.
The specialist also noted that a disturbing symptom is low oxygen saturation. It is possible to accurately measure this indicator, only with a pulse oximeter, but this problem can also be assessed by subjective criteria: shortness of breath at rest and lack of air.
Pozdnyakov stressed that the symptoms of “Omicron” differ from the clinical picture of other strains of the Corona virus, as it originated in an immune human environment and either those who have already been vaccinated or who have contracted the disease.
