Canada moving its army from Ukraine

Canada’s Defense Ministry has announced that it has begun moving its military personnel from Ukraine to another point in Europe.

“As a result of the current challenging operational environment associated with Russia’s unprovoked aggression against Ukraine, the Canadian Armed Forces are in the process of temporarily relocating part of the Joint Task Force-Ukraine (JTF-U) to another location in Europe,” the department said.

The Defense Department said in a statement that the temporary military relocation does not mean the end of the Canadian mission, but rather aims to “refocus efforts” and preserve the safety of the Canadian military.
