UN categorizes the main threats to humanity

Experts from the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) have identified the main threats to humanity.

Widespread wildfires and noise pollution have been listed among the major threats to humanity at the United Nations. Experts have included these phenomena in the list of those that have a significant negative impact on human health and the environment.

Experts point out that wildfires cause trees to divert from sinks of greenhouse gas emissions to their source, and the fires themselves pollute water and melt glaciers.

In turn, noise pollution causes chronic irritability and negatively affects sleep quality, eventually leading to heart disease, mental disorders and lack of sleep. Experts have also recognized that ecosystem asynchrony is a threatening phenomenon.
