Armenia’s Chief of General Staff dismissed
Signed by Acting President Alain Simonyan. Decree relieves the Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Artak Davtyan, accused in a criminal case of forgery of supplying weapons, from his post.
The text of the decree was published on the website of the President of Armenia. As reported, the Chief of the General Staff is relieved of his post in accordance with the articles of the Constitution and the Law on “Military Service and Military Status”.
