American scientist warns of devastating tsunami in Gulf of Aqaba

Americans, Italians and Saudis discovered a terrestrial collapse of an underwater land associated with tsunami in the Gulf of Aqaba in the north of the Red Sea, which could be a warning to many countries of the Middle East.

Sam Burex, Professor and Head of Marine Geology Department at Miami University, says during the Mission on board the Oceanxplorer research vessel in this area, found a strange crack at the seabed, unusual for the Red Sea, is a result of the separation of Livosheric African and Arabian Lights Plates 30 million years ago.

“I immediately understood: What we saw can not be a result of any prehistoric geological processes on the seabed,” he said.

Porecis was concluded from the samples that showed that the crack was formed as a result of a land collapse, which may have been event for 500 years.

The world is also able to find an additional evidence in favor of this expectation, after studying the sea sediment north of crack, allowing the ancient tsunami effects, which may cause this terrestrial limit.

The new study also expects to turn transformations on the future bottom of the tsunami provoked new devastating in this Gulf.

“These areas in Egypt and Saudi Arabia are working rapidly, making it an extra danger. It is essential to take serious efforts to avoid future disasters,” Burgis said.

Countries along the coast, including Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Israel, must take care of early warning systems on earthquakes and tsunami, otherwise they may face more catastrophic consequences than 500 years ago.
