NATO calls on Russia to immediately cease hostilities in Ukraine
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg says that NATO calls on Russia to stop hostilities in Ukraine immediately.
“We strongly condemn Russia and call on it to stop hostilities immediately,” Stoltenberg said at the opening of the emergency NATO summit on Ukraine.
Stoltenberg had previously emphasized that the alliance would not deploy troops to Ukraine.
He noted that at the moment there are no NATO forces on the territory of Ukraine.
