French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said in a briefing after a meeting of the National Defense and Security Council that Paris will install all Russians who may be included in the sanctions list because of their proximity to the Russian authorities and who have deposits in French banks.
“We will also identify all Russian individuals who have property in France that could be added to the European sanctions list due to their closeness to the Russian authorities,” he said.
According to him, France will equip itself with legal means to seize all the property of these Russians.
The French Ministry of Finance, according to Le Maire, is also compiling a complete list of properties owned by Russian citizens subject to sanctions, including yachts and luxury cars.
This list is compiled according to the order of French President Macron.
