Cancellation of the volleyball world championship in Russia

The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) announced on Tuesday 1 March that due to the situation in Ukraine, the tournament will be moved from Russia, the FIVB will look for an alternative venue.

“The Administrative Board of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has reached the conclusion that it will be impossible to prepare for and host the World Championships in Russia due to the situation in Ukraine,” the organization’s press service said in a statement.
