Disney stops distributing its films to Russia

The Walt Disney Company decided to leave the Russian cinema market – and the company stopped supplying films to Russia.

The decision includes the structure of the media conglomerate Lucasfilm, MARVEL, Pixar, Maker Studios and others.

“We are suspending film distribution in Russia, including Pixar’s upcoming I’m Blushing,” The Walt Disney Company said in a statement. “We will make subsequent decisions based on the situation.”

In addition, the company stated that it, together with its partners, provides the necessary humanitarian assistance to Ukrainian refugees.

Earlier, the American rock band The Killers announced that it will not perform at the Park Live Festival, scheduled for July in the Russian capital.
