The Pentagon: The no-fly zone over Ukraine means war between the United States and Russia

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said creating a no-fly zone over Ukraine would threaten the United States with war with Russia.

According to him, in an interview with NBC, US President Joe Biden made it clear that US forces would not go to war with Russia.

Austin noted that maintaining a no-fly zone, if offered, would require contact with Russian aircraft, and this would threaten the United States with a war with Russia.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia should stop bombing Ukrainian cities before full negotiations.

He also suggested that NATO establish an air alert zone over Ukraine as a precautionary measure, noting that this should not involve the alliance in a conflict with Russia.
