China decides to intensify military and combat training

The Chinese authorities have announced the need to comprehensively intensify military training and combat training in 2022, in accordance with the country’s social and economic development plan.

The document speaks of the need to “demonstrate determination and flexibility in the deployment of the military struggle”, protect state security and development interests, accelerate the creation of a modern military logistics system, the military asset management system, improve the weapons modernization management system and intensify innovation in the field of defense science.

It was emphasized that governments at all levels should support the development of national defense and armed forces, while maintaining a strong and indestructible cohesion of the army, government and people.

In 2022, China will increase its military budget by 7.1% to reach $229.5 billion, and spending on public security will increase by 4.7% to 194.993 billion yuan (about $30.8 billion).
