Gasoline prices in the US exceed maximum

Gasoline prices in the United States are at a historic high, reaching $4.17 per gallon, according to the American Automobile Association (AAA), which monitors the cost of fuel at gas stations.

According to the organization, by the morning of March 8 a gallon of gasoline cost $4,173 in the United States – the highest average price of fuel in history. The previous record was set in July 2008, when the price of gasoline at US gas stations was $4.11 per gallon. A year ago, the cost of gasoline to consumers was $2.7.
