The World Bank supports Ukraine with $723 million

The World Bank Council decided to support Ukraine with 723 million dollars.

A $489 million aid package was approved – of which $350 million will be provided as a loan and $139 million in guarantees.

A $134 million grant and $100 million in parallel funding will also be included.

Last week, US President Joe Biden said his administration is stepping up military and economic aid to Ukraine.

Before that, Biden signed a memo instructing the State Department to provide Ukraine with $600 million in aid, $350 million of which is in the defense sector.

The IMF also opened Ukraine’s access to $2.2 billion in financing from the beginning of March to the end of June.
