Sharp increase in COVID-19 cases in China
The Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China said that during last Saturday, more than 1,900 new cases of severe coronavirus and more than 1,400 asymptomatic cases were discovered in China.
Of those, 1,807 are acute and 1,315 are asymptomatic within the country.
On Friday, 476 new acute cases and 1,048 asymptomatic cases were recorded within China. Changchun, a city of 9 million people, has been placed in quarantine due to the spread of COVID-19.
In total, in China, 115,466 people have been infected with the coronavirus and 4,636 deaths from diseases associated with COVID-19.
