Russia blacklists Biden, Blinken, 13 high-ranking officials

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday: “In response to a series of unprecedented sanctions that prohibit, among other things, entry to the United States of senior officials of the Russian Federation, as of March 15 of this year, the Russian ban list was issued and the blacklist includes “the President American Joe Biden, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Lloyd Austin, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, in addition to a number of heads of departments and well-known American personalities.

Russia’s sanctions list also includes National Security Adviser Jacob Sullivan, CIA Director William Burns, White House Press Secretary Jennifer Psaki, Deputy Assistant to the President for National Security Dulip Singh, and Agency for International Development Director Samantha Power, son of US President Hunter Hunter. Biden, former US Secretary of State and former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, First Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Adewal Adeemo, and Export-Import Bank Chairman Rita Joe Lewis.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in the statement: “This step, taken as a counter-reaction, was an inevitable consequence of the course of intense fear of Russia taken by the current US administration, which, in a desperate attempt to maintain American hegemony, relied on the forward containment of Russia, ignoring all propriety. “.

“At the same time, we do not refuse to maintain official relations if they meet our national interests, and if necessary, we will solve the problems arising from the blacklisting of persons appearing in order to organize high-level contacts, the document confirms.

In total, 13 representatives of the American establishment were included in the Russian “stop list”, which was formed on the basis of reciprocity.

“In the near future, new announcements will follow to expand the list of sanctions by including senior US officials, military officials, legislators, businessmen, experts and media professionals who suffer from Russophobia or who contribute to incitement to hatred against Russia, and to introduce restrictive measures,” Maidan Smolenskaya stressed.

“These measures will be carried out in an organic union with wide-ranging decisions taken by the government of the Russian Federation in the financial, banking and other fields to protect the Russian economy and ensure its sustainable development,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said. .
