NATO deploys Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems in Slovakia

The Slovak Defense Minister, Jaroslav Nagy, said that the first of the three Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems had been delivered to Bratislava in connection with the military operation in Ukraine.

“The Patriot air defense system is being transferred to Slovakia,” reads the article published in the Pravda newspaper.

The complex is located at the air base in the town of Slyak. According to preliminary data, two more complexes will be created in Bratislava.

Earlier it was reported that NATO offered the leadership of the Ukrainian state company Antonov to transfer aircraft to Germany. In his opinion, the decision was not made because the top management of the company at that moment was in Leipzig.

At the end of February, Ukroboronexport reported that the An-225 was destroyed at the Gostomel airport, which is part of the Antonov air complex. The airport is used by both civil and pilot aviation.
