Bodies of passengers of crashed Boeing found in China

Rescuers have found the wreckage of the plane and the remains of the dead at the crash site of a Boeing 737 in Guangdong Province.

Authorities said the black box found at the crash site was a cockpit voice recorder that was sent to Beijing overnight.

A Boeing 737 in eastern China, en route from Kunming to Guangzhou in southern China, crashed on March 21. There is no official information about the dead and injured as a result of the accident at the moment. On board were 132 people, including 123 passengers and 9 crew members.

Aviation expert Wang Yangan said an engine failure could cause the plane to crash. At the same time, he noted that it was still too early to draw any conclusions, since for this purpose it was necessary to decipher the readings of the black boxes.

According to the Chinese Civil Aviation Administration, the weather conditions for the voyage were not dangerous, and communication between the ship’s crew and observers was normal, Xinhua reported.

A search and rescue operation was conducted at the crash site, but the search was interrupted by a strong landslide in the area.
