Miley Cyrus survives after lightning strikes her plane

Miley Cyrus’ plane had to make an emergency landing after being struck by lightning.

Cyrus was on her way to Paraguay for the Asuncion festival in the capital, Asuncion, which has not been held since 2019 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

She wrote on social media, “Unfortunately, we did not fly to Paraguay. Our plane got into an unexpected thunderstorm, hit by lightning. The team, group, friends and family traveling with me are fine after the emergency landing.”

Asuncion has experienced flooding in recent days after heavy rains. Festival organizers, due to technical difficulties related to the weather, have already canceled its first day, where Foo Fighters, Doja Cat and Machine Gun Kelly were supposed to perform.
