Netflix stops shooting for Will Smith

Netflix has halted filming of “Quick and Free” with Will Smith due to the Oscars incident.

In this thriller, Smith has to play a man who wakes up in Mexico with amnesia after being attacked, then gradually learns that he was a crime boss and worked undercover as a CIA agent. It is not known if the project will be frozen or if another actor will be found in place of Smith.

On March 27, at the Academy Awards, a Hollywood actor took to the stage and slapped host Chris Rock over a joke about Smith’s wife’s “too short hair.”

Jada Pinkett Smith suffers from autoimmune diseases and is losing her hair.

Later, when Smith took to the stage to receive King Richard’s Best Actor award, he cried and apologized, saying that it was important in life to protect his family, as did his character Richard Williams, father of tennis players Serena and Venus. Williams.

Chris Rock did not file a police report against Smith after the incident. Later it became known that the Board of Directors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences initiated “disciplinary actions” against the actor.
