Israel allocates more than 110 million dollars to build a new fence

The Israeli Ministerial Committee for National Security Affairs has approved a project to build an additional 40 kilometers of the separation fence in Ramallah.

“Members of the security cabinet unanimously approved a plan worth 360 million shekels (more than $110 million) presented by Defense Minister Benny Gantz to build an additional 40 kilometers of the fence,” a statement from Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s office said.

In late March, it was reported that the Israeli army decided to send additional military units to the Palestinian territories after a series of terrorist attacks that killed 11 Israelis in just one week.

Subsequently, US President Joe Biden offered Israel assistance in the fight against terrorism, and reaffirmed “strong American support for Israel” in the face of terrorism and other threats to the Jewish state.
