Oil shipments halted at Libyan ports

Sources from Bloomberg and Reuters reported that oil loading was disrupted at the Zovtina port, south of Benghazi, due to protests against Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Dabaiba, who refused to resign, which led to the suspension of oil shipments.

According to the transportation center employees, the loading of one million barrels of oil was disrupted by the protesters.

A similar situation occurred in the port of Melita in western Libya, where unknown persons stopped production in the El Feel field linked to the port. The daily production in the El Feel field is estimated at 65,000 barrels per day.

Earlier, Libyan Oil and Gas Minister Mohamed Aoun said that his country would not be able to replace Russian oil for Europe only within five to seven years.
