Gas supplies stopped to Poland and Bulgaria

Russia’s Gazprom has informed the complete halt of Gas supplies to its partners in Poland and Bulgaria, Bulgaraz and BGNIG.

It should be noted that this decision was made due to the fact that Warsaw and Sofia refused to pay for fuel in rubles, which was stipulated by the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Gazprom Export notified Bolgaraz and BGNIG to suspend gas supplies from April 27 until payments are made.

It should also be noted that since Poland and Bulgaria transit Russian gas, in the event of an unauthorized withdrawal of Russian gas from the volume allocated to third countries, the transit will be reduced by the illegally withdrawn volume.

According to the available information, gas prices on the European Stock Exchange rose at the opening of trading by more than 16% and amounted to 1300 dollars per thousand cubic meters.
