Serious consequences of taking paracetamol

Doctor and TV presenter Elena Malysheva confirmed that taking paracetamol can provoke the development of toxic hepatitis.

According to the specialist, if you take the drug in the dosage prescribed by the doctor and do not exceed it, then there is no danger. If you regularly drink paracetamol, the drug will have a toxic effect on the liver, which can lead to serious consequences.

“The toxic dose is 8 tablets per day, if you exceed this dose within 24 hours, this is fatal for the liver. You will get toxic hepatitis or toxic jaundice, because the metabolic processes of paracetamol destroy the organ,” said Malysheva.

And the doctor concluded that taking Paracetamol no more than once every four hours, it is an effective analgesic and antipyretic drug.
