China buys additional quantities of Russian oil to replenish reserves

China expects to fill its storage facilities with Russian oil. It is noteworthy that China is currently discussing with the Russian side the issue of additional supplies of oil, which are to be used to replenish strategic reserves.

According to Bloomberg, negotiations are taking place at the level of the governments of the two countries, and oil companies participate in them with a small part.

No information was provided on possible quantities of deliveries.

Bloomberg previously reported that Russia’s hydrocarbon export revenue halved in 2022 amid trade restrictions.
