US calls to supply Ukraine with long-range weapons

As the American magazine Popular Mechanics wrote, Ukraine needs long-range, high-tech weapons from the United States and other NATO countries.

According to the article, the Ukrainian Armed Forces need a US Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) on the M142 High Mobility Missile Chassis (HIMARS). It can fire 227 mm guided projectiles up to 70 km, guided by the Global Positioning System (GPS).

Popular Mechanics magazine reported that the American MQ-1C Gray Eagle reconnaissance and operations aircraft will also be useful to Kiev. The article believes that it “will be more efficient than the Turkish Bayraktar TB2, as it carries a heavier payload, and flies higher and farther.”

In addition, Ukraine needs the Harpoon land-based anti-ship missiles, the magazine wrote.
