North Korea’s epidemic cases close to 3.5 million

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported. That during the epidemic of “fever”, which foreign experts consider infection with the Coronavirus, 3,448,880 cases of the disease were recorded in North Korea, and 69 people died.

“According to the notification of the National Emergency Management Office, from 18:00 on May 27 until 18:00 on May 28, 89,500 new cases were recorded in the country (an increase of 980 compared to the previous day),.”

Over the past day, 106,390 people have recovered, which is 12,230 less than on Friday, May 27.

Currently, projects are being implemented in the DPRK to urgently complete clinical examination of “about ten antiviral therapeutic drugs developed on the basis of in-depth analysis of various disease sources.”

On May 12, North Korea reported the first suspected case of coronavirus in the country’s history.

Due to the emergence of “fever” cases in the country, the DPRK has implemented an “emergency anti-epidemic system at the highest level”, under the direction of Head of State Kim Jong Un, imposing a lockdown in all cities and provinces.

Pyongyang does not accept foreign aid at this point.
