Russia resumes gas supplies to Turkey via Blue Stream

Gas shipments from Russia to Turkey through the Black Sea gas pipeline have resumed.

Blue Stream is a gas pipeline between Russia and Turkey, running along the bottom of the Black Sea from the Russian Black Sea coast to the Asian lands on the Black Sea coast of Turkey.

The total length of the gas pipeline is 1213 km. The gas pipeline can pump 47.35 million cubic meters of gas per day.

At the end of January, Gazprom announced that it had delivered a record 15.98 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey via the Blue Stream gas pipeline in 2021. The company noted that the increase in supplies coincided with a significant increase in gas consumption. In Turkey, which in 2021 amounted to approximately 61 billion cubic meters.
