Greece supplies Ukraine with Soviet tanks in exchange for German infantry fighting vehicles
German Chancellor Olaf Schultz has stated that Greece will supply Ukraine with Soviet-style weapons, in exchange for receiving infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) from Germany. As reported by Reuters.
“We will provide Greece with German infantry vehicles,” Schulz told reporters after an EU summit in Brussels, declining to give further details.
It is also not known what kind of weapons Athens will give to Kyiv, but TASS claims that it supplies it with tanks.
Berlin supplies European countries with modern NATO weapons, which in turn send Soviet military equipment (such as T-72 tanks) to Ukraine.
