Buzz Lightyear banned due to homosexuality

Buzz Lightyear banned due to homosexuality…

Pixar’s Buzz Lightyear has been banned in countries in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the ban on the show is related to a same-sex kiss involving Hawthorne’s character and her lover.

It is noteworthy that the scene was originally cut, but after the scandal surrounding Pixar employees’ statement that Disney was censoring “blatant homosexuality”, it had to be restored.

It was determined that the UAE’s Media Regulatory Authority announced on June 13 that the cartoon was not licensed for public viewing due to a “violation of the country’s media content standards.”

Note that “Buzz Lightyear” is now another Disney movie that has had problems in the Gulf countries due to scenes related to references or LGBTQ themes.
